Veteran Nollywood actress Binta Ayo Mogaji granted a rare interview where she spoke about her life and career.
The movie act was a guest of her colleague, Biola Bayo on her podcast Talk to B. According to Ayo Mogaji, she had her only child when she was 40 years old.
Mogaji said her fallopian tube was ruptured when she had her first pregnancy which was ectopic and had to be evacuated in order to save her life.
An ectopic pregnancy happens when a fertilized egg implants and develops outside the usual space within the uterus.
Typically, this occurs in a fallopian tube, where eggs normally travel from the ovaries to the uterus, resulting in what is known as a tubal pregnancy.
She disclosed that some of her colleagues who were with her in the hospital cried bitterly because the doctor said she might not make it. The procedure conducted to remove the pregnancy took seven to nine hours. Ayo Mogaji recounted:
Also speaking about marriage, she noted that she fell in love, but her partner was abusive. He physically abused her, and she couldn’t stay at home with him without a third party. The thespian advised ladies to leave any relationship once their partner becomes abusive. Ayo Mogaji continued:
