Nigerian actress cum filmmaker, Mary Remmy Njoku has sent a message to Nigerian religious women on the importance of IVF, calling them out for not being totally truthful when telling their pregnancy and birthing stories.
In vitro fertilization (IVF) is a medical procedure whereby an egg is fertilized by sperm in a test tube or elsewhere outside the body.
In a post on her Instagram page, Mary Njoku noted how there is nothing wrong with IVF, adding that God created people with the wisdom to find solutions to their challenges.
The actress admonished religious women to feel free to include IVF in their testimonies so that God can use them to inspire and bless other families as well.
Mary Njoku noted how testimonies aren’t mandatory, but if a woman gets pregnant via a successful IVF, it’s only right to tell the complete story and avoid making God angry. She wrote on her Instagram page:
In a later post, Mary Njoku emphatically stressed that IVFs, C-sections are miracles and the fact that it wasn’t successful for some doesn’t mean it won’t work for someone else. She added:
