Orji Uzor-Kalu, the Senator representing Abia North, has provided reasons why he stopped using his private jet.

In a video obtained by The Punch on Saturday, September 21, the former Governor of Abia state said he chose to use commercial flights instead due to the current economic situation.

Senator Kalu disclosed that he had to ground the jet to generate revenue by leasing it for the airlift of oil company officials.

In another development, TimesNow.com.ng reported that Senator Orji Uzor Kalu from Abia state visited the APC chairperson in Ebonyi state and talked about the 2024 budget and the 2023 census.

He asked Nigerians to give President Tinubu three more years to fix the country’s problems.

The senator explained why the National Assembly added billions of naira to the 2024 budget for the 2023 census, adding that Nigeria would lose a lot of money if the census was not done.
