Nigerian comedian, Basketmouth has corrected the misconception people might have about him and Grammy winning singer, Wizkid after the singer shaded him.
WITHIN NIGERIA reported that Wizkid began criticizing his colleague, Davido in recent posts. In one of his outbursts, the ‘Ojuelegba’ hitmaker threw shade at Basketmouth, saying that Bobo Ajudua, Davido’s ex-lawyer and childhood friend, always follows the DMW boss around dressed like the comedian.
In response to Wizkid’s comment, Basketmouth shared a video of himself at Billionaire fashion designer, Seyi Vodi’s clothing store in Abuja. He was seen checking out some collection of outfits, gushing over himself as he wore a matching black shirt and trousers. He questioned if his outfit choice works for Wizkid.
Taking to his comment section, a fan stated that he doesn’t believe Wizkid was trying to shade the comedian. He explained that the singer was seemingly making fun of Davido’s lawyer for dressing like a comedian and not professionally. The fan wrote:
Replying to him, Basketmouth stated that he knew Wizkid wasn’t poking fun at him, adding that the singer is his guy. He also explained that he is using Wizkid’s post to gain traction to promote his new movie. In Basketmouth’s words:
