Wike rules out PDP from winning 2027 presidential election, gives reason

FCT, Abuja – The minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, said the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is not ready to take over power in the 2027 elections.

Wike said the PDP has a formidable structure to defeat President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2027.

According to Wike, Power struggle cannot help PDP in the 2027 election.

As reported by The Punch, Wike statted this during a live media parley in Abuja on Friday, April 18, 2025.

The minister said:

TimesNow.com.ng also reported that the publisher of Ovation Magazine, Dele Momodu, sent a message to those eyeing the presidency in 2027.

Momodu said anybody eyeing the 2027 presidency must be battle-ready against President Tinubu and the FCT minister, Nyesom Wike.

The PDP chieftain gave reason why it is important to be battle-ready to confront Tinubu and Wike ahead of the 2027 election.

Meanwhile, TimesNow.com.ng reported that prominent social media personality, Reno Omokri, dropped a strong prediction, saying President Tinubu will not lose the presidency in the 2027 election.

Omokri insisted that no coalition formed to unseat President Tinubu in 2027 will succeed if he decides to seek another term.

The top supporter of President Tinubu advised opposition forces behind the mooted coalition not to waste their time as their efforts would end in vain.
