See what Tinubu is allegedly doing to frustrate Atiku-led coalition in 2027

FCT, Abuja – Kelly Agaba, the coordinator of the Citizens Coalition, said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is using the divide-and-rule strategy to win the 2027 elections.

Agaba said Nigerians are suffering and are looking for solutions, not divisive rhetoric.

The political analyst said he is not convinced that Tinubu’s alleged divide-and-rule strategy will work for him in 2027.

He stated this during an exclusive chat with TimesNow.com.ng while reacting to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s defection and reports that some PDP governors from the southern regions will soon defect to the ruling APC.

According to Agaba, the 2027 election will be about Tinubu’s policies and the people.

He argued that the 2027 general elections will not be about region or ethnicity.

Earlier, TimesNow.com.ng reported that Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe state rubbished claims linking him to a defection plot led by former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar.

Governor Buni declared that he had no intention of abandoning the All Progressives Congress (APC).

TimesNow.com.ng reports that this comes after a viral text message alleged that Buni and four other APC governors had sealed a secret deal to dump the ruling party and align with the opposition PDP ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In a similar development, TimesNow.com.ng reported that amid notable defections in Delta and Kano state, tension is building up in the camp of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

A fresh report has alleged a defection plot by Governor Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke of Osun state.

The alleged imminent move is reportedly aimed at ensuring a smooth sail for the governor, who is desirous of retaining his seat at the Abere Government Secretariat, Osogbo.
