Nigerian actress cum media personality, Bisola AIyeola has gotten candid on why she refused to buy her 15-year-old daughter a phone despite the criticism she faces regarding some of her parenting choices.
In the latest episode of ‘Mums Next Door’ with Maria Chike, Bisola Aiyeola disclosed that she faced criticism for being overprotective for not allowing her daughter to have a phone until she turns 16.
Bisola Aiyeola mentioned that people have judged her decision, questioning how her daughter would handle emergencies or if it would make her fall behind her classmates.
However, she assured her daughter owns a laptop for schoolwork and could call her friends on Zoom.
She also recounted an incident where she discovered her daughter had opened a smart chat account on her laptop, leading Bisola to extend the phone ban by another year as a form of discipline.
